Perrine Delacour secured her second Ladies European Tour victory at the Investec South African Women's Open, in windy final-round conditions around Erinvale Country and Golf Estate, while Annabel Wilson was best of the Irish after finishing tied for 20th.

Armagh's Wilson shot a 69 on Sunday to end up on five under overall, while Dubliner Anna Foster and Kildare woman Lauren Walsh were two shots further back after carding 70 and 74 respectively.

But out in front, a two-under round of 70, which included four birdies and two bogeys, was enough for Delacour to secure a win on 14 under.

She was kept under pressure with the leaderboard constantly shifting on the final day, with a host of players in contention.

The Frenchwoman, who claimed her maiden LET title last year at the Dormy Open Helsingborg in a play-off with Germany's Helen Briem, produced a great shot on the 15th hole to give herself a tap-in birdie putt.

She followed this up with another birdie on the 16th and kept her composure to close out the round.

"I’m really happy and this win feels pretty good. I didn't start the way I wanted to, but I had a great shot on 15, probably my best of the week, tapping in a birdie and kept that momentum on 16 to make a great putt," said the two-time LET winner.

"On the last hole, I just wanted to be on the green as I knew I was leading, but I didn't know by how many shots."

She added: "It’s definitely great to win as I’ve had a rough start to the year. I’ve got so much support from my team who keep believing in me and trusting the process, so I'm pretty happy about that. I was looking at the leaderboard a lot but was also just trying to stay focused."

Casandra Alexander was runner-up after firing the round of the day with a 66 to end the week on 12 under.
