In-form Lauren Walsh will start the final round of the Investec SA Women's Open seven shots off the lead after a third-round 70 at Erinvale Golf Club.

Walsh moved to five under par for the tournament after Saturday’s third round, seven shots off France’s Perrine Delacour with halfway leader Chiara Tamburlini shooting a disappointing 74 to fall to third.

Walsh, who tied for fourth at the Joburg Ladies Open last week, started at the 10th and after four pars, she carded a double bogey on the par-three 14th.

However, she recovered well to dot her card with five birdies and just one bogey to leave her with an outside chance of a first Ladies European Tour title.

Annabel Wilson fell outside the top 30 as she posted a third-round 77 – the joint highest score of the day, which left her on two-under par.

The damage was done at four holes as she started with back-to-back bogeys and the Armagh golfer dropped another at the 12th before blotting her card with a double bogey at 17.

Anna Foster is a further shot back on one-under after a round of 72.

Sara Byrne and Olivia Mehaffey failed to make the cut.
