Lauren Walsh remains in contention at the weather-delayed at the Joburg Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour.
Tied fourth at the end of the opening day, Walsh finished the second in a share of third place, sitting on five under par, four shots off Casandra Alexander's lead.
Walsh was one of the players who have yet to start their second round due to another suspension as a result of a flooded course at Modderfontein Golf Club.
Sara Byrne is inside the top 20 in a share of 18th place on two under par following five holes of her second round. Annabel Wilson will miss the cut, finishing her second round on six over par.
Round two will resume on Saturday morning at 8:00am local time with England's Mimi Rhodes – Thursday’s overnight leader – on eight-under par with 13 holes remaining. The rookie birdied the second and dropped a shot on the third so sits on par for the round as it stands.
The cut currently sits at even-par with 72 players still left to finish their second round, while round three is expected to commence one hour after the completion of round two.
