Billy Horschel and Patrick Cantlay led a come-from-behind victory as Atlanta Drive won the inaugural TGL title with a 4-3 win over New York Golf Club in the second contest of the best-of-three final series.

Atlanta trailed New York for most of Tuesday's final after winning the first meeting on Monday.

New York were up 3-2 at the 14th hole when Atlanta dropped the hammer, making the penultimate hole worth two points.

An 18-foot downhill putt from Horschel snatched a lead for Atlanta heading into the final hole.

New York followed suit in dropping the hammer, which increased the points on offer on a hole, with Cameron Young and Cantlay both missing the green.

Cantlay pitched from 60 feet to within a foot, forcing Young into an all-or-nothing shot which he pushed past the hole.

The win means Atlanta’s foursome of Horschel, Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Lucas Glover will split £6.93million, while New York’s Young, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele and Matt Fitzpatrick receive £3.46million.

Monday's final brings down the curtain on the first season of the indoor simulated golf league, which commenced on 7 January and takes place at the SoFi Centre in Palm Beach.

Shane Lowry's Bay Hill team had finished in second place, ahead of both finalists in the league standings but were beaten by eventual winners Atlanta Drive in last week's semi-final. Rory McIlroy's Boston Common team failed to make the post-season, bringing up the reare in the league table with five losses from five.
