Lauren Walsh is very much in contention at the Australian Women's Classic after a round of 65 left her four shots off the lead ahead of the final round.
Walsh began her second round with a birdie two on the first and picked up another shot on seven. A run of successive birdies on 13, 14 and 15 provided even more momentum as the Castlewarden native moved to one-under-par.
Sarah Kemp leads the way on 10-under after shooting a terrific eight-under 62. The 39-year-old had been sidelined since August after breaking her tibia and fibula in a freak golf cart accident. Having had subsequent surgery, Kemp has returned with a bang, soaring into a two-shot lead.
Of the other Irish competitors at Coffs Harbour, Anna Foster made the cut on level par after a round of 69. The Elm Park player recovered from a double bogey on 10 to reel of birdies on 11, 14 and 17 for a level-par finish.
There was disappointment for Annabel Wilson as she was one shot the wrong side of the cut mark. A round of 74 saw her finish five-over.

Starting the day four shots being our day one trio of leaders, Kemp got off to a tricky start bogeying the par-four second. But from then she rolled back the years carding nine birdies in 17 holes.
In a tie for second on eight-under-par sit Belgium’s Manon De Roey and Wales’ Darcey Harry. The former had a fantastic day at the office holing several long putts en route to a round of 63.
