Leona Maguire carded a 75 to lie seven shots behind leader A Lim Kim after the opening round of the HSBC Women's World Championship.

Starting on the back nine, Maguire made six successive pars before a double bogey seven on the 16th. A bogey followed on the third in a round where she failed to find a birdie, eventually finishing three over.

Leader Kim, who earlier this month won the Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, carded a four-under 68, making five birdies, with just the one dropped shot coming on 16.

England's Charlie Hill occupies second spot after a bogey-free 69. A shot further back are the trio of Minjee Lee, Ruoning Yin and Hey-Jin Choi.
