Leona Maguire shot 74 in the opening round of the Honda LPGA Thailand, leaving her at two over par and ranked well down the leaderboard.
Starting on the back nine Maguire started solidly with a par and birdie in her opening two holes, however, a double bogey on her fourth hole of the day started a challenging run for the remainder of the round.
The 30-year-old managed to rebound quickly, birdieing the next hole and parring the rest until the turn, but her second nine started to slide with two more bogeys and she finished the day in a share of 57th place.

Akie Iwai from Japan leads by three strokes at the Siam Country Club in Pattya on ten under par. The 22-year-old birdied the first four before accumulating four more in the second nine.
Iwai earned her LPGA tour membership after finishing in a tie for fifth at the LPGA Final Qualifier last year.
Sweden's Maja Stark sits at seven under and home favourite Moriya Jutanugarn is one shot further back.
Stark bagged an eagle on her second to last hole of the day to add to her six birdies.
Jutanugarn managed seven birdies and one bogey to finish on six under and 66 strokes.
