The Waterford golfer, who had a strong end to the 2024 season with four top-20 finishes in his last seven tournaments, sits nine strokes adrift of the leaders, well down the field at three over par.
The two-time PGA Tour winner dropped strokes on the second, 13th and the par-five 18th.
The head of the leaderboard sees a six-way tie for the lead. England's Adam Schenk, Eric Cole, Denny McCarthy, Tom Hoge and Henrik Norlander all carded 64s to stand at six under.
Hall carded 10 birdies and had multiple opportunities to nab the outright lead, but was hampered by bogeys on the fourth and 17th holes, along with a double bogey on the eighth.

His score of 35 under for The Sentry set a PGA Tour record for the lowest 72-hole score in relation to par.
