Waterford's Seamus Power sits eight shots behind leader Matt Kuchar following his second round at the Wyndham Championship at the Sedgefield Country Club.
Kuchar carded a second-straight 64 on Saturday to take a one-shot lead at the Wyndham Championship and keep his FedEx Cup play-off hopes alive.
With the top 70 in the standings at the tournament's end advancing to the FedEx Cup play-offs, Kuchar needs a victory to qualify for the postseason.
He is the only player on the Tour to qualify for every play-off stage in FedEx Cup history.
The American trio of Max Greyserman, Cameron Young and Chad Ramey trail Kuchar by one, with Greyserman carding a 10 under 60 after leaving his putt for 59 at the last 18 inches short.
Power recovered from a horror start to his second round to record an even par 70 to sneak inside the projected cut-line on four-under par, where he sits tied-46th with a whopping 18 other players, some of whom are yet to complete Round 2.
Power, after an opening 66, slipped back to one-under par after a double bogey and bogey on the 13th and 14th holes, the Waterford man having commenced his round on the back nine.
However, he respondd with birdies on 15 and 18, as well as a steady inward nine of 33 with birdies on the fourth and ninth saw him end the day as he started, on four-under par.
Shane Lowry's second round 68 wasn't enough to lift him inside the four-under par cut-line.
Lowry, who placed tied-26th at the Olympics last weekend, was among the second wave completing their round late last night at the rain-delayed event.
Beginning the day on even par, the 2019 Open champion registered three birdies en route to a solid round of 68 to reach two-under par overall, but this fell two strokes short of the cut-line, with only those tied-46th and above sticking around for the final 36 holes.
