Practice rounds ahead of the 106th US PGA Championship were suspended on Tuesday due to thunderstorms at Valhalla.
Players were brought off the course at 9.50pm local time and torrential rain began falling shortly after, with the rain forecast to continue for the rest of the day.
Many more players than normal had practised on Monday due to the forecast, including Scottie Scheffler following the birth of his first child last week and Louisville native Justin Thomas.
"I'm glad I came and played last week, Sunday, Monday, just not only for my own preparation standpoint but just with how the weather potentially looks today and tomorrow," two-time winner Thomas had said in his 9am press conference.
