England's David Skinns is one of five players with a share of the lead headed into the final day of the Houston Open.

The 42-year-old carded a bogey-free 65 on Saturday to shoot to the top of the leaderboard on nine under par.

He is joined by Germany’s Stephan Jaeger, Thomas Detry of Belgium, Alejandro Tosti of Argentina and world number one Scottie Scheffler.

The American is aiming to become the first player since 2017 to win three straight PGA Tour titles.

Chasing the lead group is the American trio of Nick Dunlap, Taylor Moore and Akshay Bhatia on eight under.

England’s Aaron Rai is among a group of four a shot further back.

He sits alongside overnight leader Tony Finau, who fell back with a third-round score of two over par.
