Leona Maguire and Lucas Glover remain tied-second at the Grant Thornton Invitational, two shots adrift of the leaders heading into the final round in Florida.
Maguire and Glover - the 2009 US Open champion - posted a three-under par 69 in Saturday's foursomes play, to climb to 18-under par for the tournament.
They lie two strokes adrift of leading duo, Jason Day and Lydia Ko, whose 66 lifted them onto 20-under heading into Sunday.
Overnight leaders following Friday's scramble, Nelly Korda and Tony Finau, join Maguire/Glover on 18-under, after a second round 70.
The tournament features 16 mixed teams of one male and one female player.
The teams played a scramble format on Friday, foursomes (alternate shot) on Saturday, while Sunday will be a modified four-ball, where both team-mates will tee off, then switch balls for their second shots and play that ball until holed.
Four pairings lie in tied-fourth on 16-under - Brooke Henderson and Corey Conners, Lexi Thompson and Rickie Fowler, Megan Khang and Denny McCarthy, Nick Taylor and Ruoning Yin. Fowler and Thompson were the only team with an eagle in the second round, with 11-time LPGA Tour winner Thompson recording an ace at the par-three 16th.
Day and Ko offset their lone bogey with seven birdies to vault into the lead.
Ko said: "I think this is just a great experience for me and I hope a lot of juniors who are either here this week or watching on the TV get inspired and hope that one day they play on the PGA or the LPGA and they too are paired up with another fellow player on the other tour.
"I think the outcome and result is secondary. I think for us, we don't really get to cross paths that much with other tours. Jason's only the fourth PGA Tour player I've played with. I think it's a great - something that I can learn a lot from."
