Seamus Power shot right up the leaderboard at the at the World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico with two eagles in a blistering round of 63 that included a hole-in-one.
It was the best round of the day at the event, but he will start Sunday seven shots behind leader Russell Henley who posted a fine 65 to sit on 22-under-par.
The Waterford native finished his second round in sloppy fashion to start the day nine shots adrift of Henley, but displayed the kind of form that saw him claim the Butterfield Bermuda Championship last weekend to move into fourth on 15-under-par ahead of the final round.
Henley holds a six-shot lead at the top with American pair WIll Gordon and Patton Kizzire on 16-under-par.

Power's hole-in-one at the eighth was the standout moment, but an eagle at the 11th and some delicate work from the fairway – he enjoyed two hole-outs – was part of a stellar round.
A birdie at the first was the ideal start before picking up another shot at the par-four seventh.
It was the following hole however, the 151-yard par-three eighth, where things really kicked into gear, with Power using the gap wedge to perfection for an eagle.
Just three holes later and he had another, holing out on the 360-yard par-fourth 11th
With confidence up, Power holed a greenside bunker shot for birdie at 14, before picking up his final shot of the day at 17 to close for an eight-under par 63.
Despite that progression, Hennelly played like a man in control of the tournament as he started with a birdie at the first, with five more following over the next 17 holes.
He is aiming for his first PGA Tour win since the 2017 Shell Houston Open.
