Seamus Power closed like a train with four straight birdies to gallop up the leaderboard on moving day at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

The Waterford man played his back nine in 32 with his four on 18 the only par of his inward half. Power mixed six birdies with two bogeys from holes 10 to 17 but his stretch of four straight birdies from 14 to 17 was key to making his five-under-par score of 67, which lifted him to seven-under-par overall, closing in on the top 25.

It still left Power well off the lead of the likes of Scott Stallings, MacKenzie Hughes and Keegan Bradley, but another tidy round on Sunday can bounce him further up the leaderboard again.
