Leona Maguire started with a solid two-under-par 70 at the Kroger Queen City Championship that leaves her six shots off leader Xiyu Lin in Cincinnati.
Maguire carded six birdies with one big blemish - a double bogey on 12 - in a good opening round.
Stephanie Meadow is also moving well. She had four birdies and three bogeys in her one-under-par 71.
Japan's Nasa Hataoka is second on seven-under, with Sarah Kepm of Australia and South Korean A Lim Kim a further shot back.
