Rory McIlroy kept the pressure up on leader Scottie Scheffler with a sensational 63 in the third round of the PGA Tour's season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.
McIlroy had started Saturday nine shots behind the American but got off to a flier with birdies on 2 and 3.
The Down man dropped a shot on 4 but bounced back with a superb eagle on the par-five sixth hole and added further birdies on 8 and 13.
He was in fourth place and five-under-par thru 15 when play was stopped due to lightning in the area.
McIlroy came back to finish his round on Sunday morning and added further birdies on 17 and 18 for a seven-under round that took him to -17 overall.
Scheffler had been level par thru 12 on Saturday but found momentum upon the restart, sinking four birdies for a 66 that kept him six shots ahead of second-placed McIlroy on 21 under.
Xander Schafuffle was level with the Irishman on -17 (70) with Sungjae Im (66) and Patrick Cantlay (66) both on -16 and Justin Thomas (also 63) a shot further back.
The final round got under way at 4.16pm Irish time with McIlroy and Scheffler at the first tee at 6.50pm.
