FULL SCOREBOARD

The Waterford man has solidified his place inside the top world's 50 this week to earn himself a maiden Masters appearance in a fortnight.

Although he lost his final group game against Keith Mitchell on Friday, Patrick Cantlay's victory over Sungjae Im ensured Power still topped group four after previous wins over Cantlay and Im.

On Saturday, with the pressure of sealing his ticket to Augusta well and truly off, Power turned on the style, comprehensively defeating Hatton 4&3.

Just a year on from being ranked outside the world's top 450, Power is looking right at home at the top table. He'll next face Scottie Scheffler in the last eight.

Former world number one Dustin Johnson [above left] proved too strong for Britain's Richard Bland, recording a 3&2 win.

Bland, who beat Lee Westwood to win group nine and maintain hopes of a Masters debut at the age of 49, had made the most of an early bogey from Johnson to move two up through five.

The American, though, recovered to land three straight birdies around the turn before picking up more on the back nine's two par fives to seal victory.

Should Bland fail to qualify for the Masters via the world's top 50 on Monday, his last remote chance to make Augusta would be to win next week's Valero Texas Open.

Defending champion Billy Horschel had been the first player into the knockout stages, but will not get the chance to defend his title after being edged out one up by Scheffler.

In what was a close repeat of last year's final, with neither player leading by more than one at any stage, Scheffler was not able to close out victory until the final green.

World number one Jon Rahm [above] lost to Brooks Koepka after 19 holes.

Rahm missed a chance from just inside nine feet to win the match, but missed left, with Koepka dropping a birdie putt on the first extra hole.

Mexico's Abraham Ancer pulled off a shock 7&6 win over world number two Collin Morikawa, while Canada's Corey Conners progressed with a 5&3 victory over Japan's Takumi Kanaya.

Kevin Kisner produced a fine comeback to beat Australian Adam Scott one up, while Will Zalatoris defeated Kevin Na after four extra holes.

Saturday's quarter-finals see Power take on Scheffler, while Koepka plays compatriot Johnson.

Zalatoris is against Kisner, with Ancer and Conners battling it out for an unexpected place in the last four.
