Leona Maguire posted a flawless 66 in the second round of the Honda LPGA Thailand event, as Nasa Hataoka and Sue Oh lead at the halfway stage.

Maguire moved into the top 25 following her impressive second round, yet remarkably fell further behind the leading duo who have progressed to 16 under after two rounds of the Thailand tournament.

Six birdies and no dropped shots saw Maguire get to eight under following a low-key 70 on Thursday and the Slieve Russell golfer sits ten shots off the lead going into the weekend.

Overnight leaders Hataoka and Oh, who opened with nine-under 63s, continued to impress and again could not be separated with second round 65s.

France's Celine Boutier and Nanna Koerstz Madsen sit in a share of third place on 15 under, one shot off the lead going into Saturday's third round.

"My ball striking wasn't like, the impact wasn't very good today. I was just kind of scrambling really well out there," said Oh.
