Jonathan Caldwell is in contention after a day of low scoring at the MyGolfLife Open in South Africa.

The Co Down man carded a flawless round of 66 at the Pecanwood G&CC to lie in a share of 20th place on six under par.

Starting on the 10th, Caldwell managed birdies on 10, 14 and 15 on the way out. He picked up further shots at 4 and 5 before finishing on a high with a birdie on the 9th, his last hole.

There are four players in a share of the lead on 10 under par - England's Ross Fisher, Spain's Nacho Elvira and South Africans Tristen Strydom and Hennie Du Plessis - on a day when 126 players in the 156-strong field broke par.
