The USA have drawn level after day two of the Curtis Cup at the Conwy Golf Club in Wales.

The visitors trailed hosts Great Britain and Ireland by three coming into the days play but they played themselves right back into the match with some dominant performances on Friday afternoon.

Rose Zhang and Rachel Heck set the tone as they managed a 3&2 victory over the Scottish duo Louise Duncan and Hannah Darling. That was followed by another 3&2 triumph for Rachel Kuehn and Emilia Migliaccio over Annabell Fuller and Charlotte Heath.

English pair Emily Toy and Caley McGinty did manage half a point in the final game of the morning to maintain a slender lead for the hosts.

But the USA continued on where they had left off earlier in the day as the pairing of Kuehn and Castle took another 3&2 victory over Duncan and Lauren Walsh.

But GB&I restored their lead once more when Darling and Fuller over came Heck and Kim by 4&3 to continue the form they had shown together on Thursday.

But the final match of the day went the way of the USA as four front-nine birdies helped Allisen Corpuz, and her compatriot Zhang, to get past Toy and McGinty.

"We weren't quite here this morning," said GB&I Captain Elaine Ratcliffe.

"America came out strong, we didn't push them and they got some really good wins. This afternoon we took our time and then I think those back ten holes we played some really good golf. To be fair to the American team, they did as well.

"Everybody's got their role, everybody knows what they have got to do. Obviously we know we've got to get points on the board but we're looking forward to the challenge. This is what they have dreamt about doing, going out on the final day with an opportunity to win the Cup. They will seal their own fate and I'm looking forward to a really stunning day of really good competitive golf."

Irish duo Lauren Walsh and Annabel Wilson will be involved in tomorrow's singles against Rachel Heck and Allisen Corpuz respectively.
