The Marathon Classic reduced to a 54-hole event and Nasa Hataoka was crowned the winner as persistent rain forced the cancellation of the event.

Play was suspended early on in the final round and was extended multiple times Sunday as players waited for the rain to clear up at Highland Meadows Golf Club. No improvement came and the decision was taken to cancel with Saturday's third round scores standing.

Japan's Nasa Hataoka, who held a two-stroke lead at the halfway point, extended her advantage to six after carding a 64 to move up to 19 under.

US pair Elizabeth Szokol and Mina Harigae are tied for second on 13 under after a 67 and 68 respectively.

Leona Maguire, after a 67 on Saturday, finished on nine under and a share of 15th spot.
