Seamus Power remains in contention for a top 10 finish at the Palmetto Championship at Congaree in South Carolina.
The Co Waterford native carded a third-round 71 on a weather-affected Saturday to stay on six under and is in a seven-way tie for seventh, eight shots off leader Chesson Hadley.
Power's round included an eagle on 15 after a strong start with consecutive birdies on one, two and 11.
But bogeys on seven, 13 and 18, as well as a double bogey on nine meant he was unable to rise up the leaderboard.
At the top of the standings, Hadley pulled further ahead of the chasing pack, establishing a four-stroke lead.
Hadley, who started the day two shots in front of playing partner Dustin Johnson, was three-under for the day and 14-under overall when play was delayed due to poor weather after he teed off on the 18th hole.
His closest chaser is Harris English, who was preparing to putt on the 18th after bogeying the par-four 17th when play was called off with him at 10-under overall.
World No 1 Johnson mixed four bogeys with three birdies to slip to a share of third with South Africa's Garrick Higgo, who carded a 68 to sit at eight-under.
