Rickie Fowler and John Catlin received special exemptions to next month's PGA Championship, the PGA of America has confirmed to multiple outlets.
The season's second major tournament takes place 20-23 May at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina.
Fowler, 32, has not posted a top-10 finish this season and has tumbled from No 53 at the end of 2020 to No 111 in the current Official World Golf Rankings.
Fowler missed out on the Masters earlier this month, ending a streak of major appearances that dated back to the 2010 Open Championship.
Catlin, 30, is ranked No 82 in the world and plays primarily on the European Tour, where he has won three times since September.
Meanwhile, world number eight Tyrrell Hatton has become the fourth player to withdraw from this week's Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida, after receiving a positive test for Covid-19, the PGA Tour said.
The Englishman, who finished in a share of eighth place at last week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans team event with 2016 Masters champion Danny Willett, was among the top players in this week's field at Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead course.
"Hatton will have the PGA Tour's full support throughout his self-isolation period under CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines," the PGA Tour said in a statement.
Earlier on Tuesday, the PGA Tour said Sepp Straka tested positive for Covid-19 and had withdrawn from this week's event.
On Monday the PGA Tour said Will Gordon and Brice Garnett also tested positive for the virus and would not play this week.
Among those competing this week at Innisbrook are world number one Dustin Johnson and world number two Justin Thomas, while Graeme McDowell is also set to feature, with the Northern Irishman teeing off at 5.38pm Irish time on Thursday.
