Seamus Power has withdrawn from the Zurich Classic in New Orleans after testing positive for Covid-19.

The PGA Tour said in their statement that Power would have the full support of the Tour "throughout his self-isolation period under CDC guidelines."

The Waterford golfer will be replaced in the field by first alternate Zach Sucher.

Power gained his PGA Tour card in 2016, holding it for three seasons until losing it at the end of the 2019 season.

Last season, he achieved a top-ten finish at the Barracuda Championship in August and was in a tie for 22nd at the Puerto Rico Open in February.
