Ireland's Leona Maguire is just one shot off the lead after the first round of the ANA Inspiration LPGA tournament at Rancho Mirage in California.
The Cavan woman opened with back-to-back birdies before bogeying the third hole. She had four birdies and 11 pars the rest of the way in a round of 67 to share second with China's Feng Shanshan.
Leader Patty Tavatanakit of Thailand birdied four of her last six holes in a round of 66 to go six under for the tournament.
Megan Khang, Sweden's Anna Nordqvist and Thai sisters Moriya and Ariya Jutanugarn share fourth place two shots further back.
Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow is in a tie for 30th after shooting a 71, which featured three birdies and two bogeys.
