Leona Maguire remains in the top 10 heading into the weekend at the Drive On Championship in Florida after a second round 71 kept her within six shots of the leading pair.

The Cavan native is tied for sixth on four under after two rounds, picking up one further shot after Thursday's strong opening 69.

She overcame bogeys on six and 15, thanks to birdies on the seventh, 17th and 18th.

Stephanie Meadow is just inside the projected cut mark despite a 75 dropping her back to two over.

The Co Antrim golfer also found issues on the sixth hole which she double bogeyed, while she dropped four further shots around the Ocala Golf Club course but was able to pick up birdies on seven, 10 and 15.

At the top of the leaderboard, US pair Austin Ernst and Jennifer Kupcho share the lead on 10-under after following up their opening 67s with the same score on day two.

They are two shots clear of Carlota Ciganda of Spain, with USA's Nelly Korda, who had shared the overnight lead with Ernst and Kupcho, fourth on seven under after a 70.

Korda is looking for back-to-back wins after victory in the Gainbridge LPGA event last week.

Jenny Coleman follows on five under just ahead of the five-way group on four under that contains Maguire.
