Seamus Power shot a near-flawless third round 67 to move into the top ten at the Puerto Rico Open.

The Waterford native moved up the leaderboard with a five-under round, which included six birdies and just a solitary bogey to move into tenth place at the PGA Tour event.

Starting the weekend off on five under par in a tie for 23rd place, Power hit two birdies in the opening three holes before handing one back on the par four fourth hole.

But from their, the Olympian played steady golf, picking up four further shots on the seventh, 12th, 14th and 16th holes to guarantee a late tee time amongst the leading groups for Sunday's final round. 

Padraig Harrington also made it through to the weekend, starting the third round on two under par, however, the three-time major winner posted a one-over 73 to fall back to a share of 63rd place.

Home favourite Rafael Campos shares the overall lead with American Grayson Murray, with both players four shots clear of Power on 14 under par.

The Puerto Rico Open is an alternate-field PGA Tour event running concurrently with the World Golf Championships event in Bradenton, Florida.
