Brendan Steele shot a career-low score of nine-under 61 on Saturday to grab a two-shot lead heading into the final round of the Sony Open in Hawaii.
The American, who entered the day with a share of seventh place, got off to a perfect start with a birdie on the first before picking up three more shots to head into the turn at four under.
His day only got better from there, with five more birdies on the back nine putting him in pole position.
The other big mover on Saturday was American Kevin Na, who claimed eight birdies and an eagle to match Steele's score of nine under.
Na sits equal-second on 16 under alongside Chile's Joaquin Niemann, while five players remain in the hunt at 15 under.
Overnight leader Nick Taylor fell to equal-ninth with a two-under 68.
