Covid-19 challenges force World Golf Championship move from Mexico to Florida

The Mexico Championship had been due to take place at the Chapultepec Golf Club in Naucalpan, just outside Mexico City, between 25-28 February.

But organisers said the tournament will now be switched to The Concession Golf Club, amid concerns over travel between the United States and Mexico.

The rejigged event will kickstart a run of four tournaments in Florida, which will also include The Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Players Championship and The Honda Classic.

It is hoped the tournament will return to Mexico in 2022.

American Patrick Reed is the defending champion following his one-shot triumph over compatriot Bryson DeChambeau last year.
