Anna Nordqvist, Jessica Korda and Yealimi Noh share the lead heading into round three at the Volunteers of America Classic in Texas.
They are on four-under, one shot clear of Lindsey Weaver who carded a 68.
While the leading trio were closely matched on day two, Noh had the strongest round with a 66.
Leona Maguire is the leading Irish challenger on four-over after a 74 saw her slip back following an opening day 72 on Thursday.
The Cavan native managed two birdies on the eighth and 13th holes.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow was two shots further back on six-over after carding a 73 which also included two birdies on the second and the 17th.
But both were inside the projected cut mark which stands at nine-over-par.
