Stephanie Meadow is in the top three ahead of the final round at the Pelican Women's Championship.

The Northern Ireland native is eight under after Saturday's round in Belleair, Florida, six shots off leader Sei Young Kim who put together a late surge to take a five-shot lead into the final round.

LEADERBOARD

The South Korean birdied four of the last five holes as she carded a six-under 64 to close out the third round at 14-under.

Leading the chasing pack is American Ally McDonald, who salvaged a double bogey on the eighth with a hole-in-one on the 12th to finish the day nine-under par.

Meadow rounds out that top three and the 28-year-old had to recover from two early bogeys to pick up four birdies on the back nine on the way to a score of two-under 68.

Cavan golfer Leona Maguire is three over ahead of Sunday's closing day, with a third round 69 leaving her in a tie for 33rd overall.

Meanwhile England's Mel Reid sits equal-10th on two-under after a bogey-free round of 65.
