This year's Masters par-three tournament has been cancelled, tournament organisers have announced.
Originally scheduled for 9-12 April at Augusta National Golf Club, the Covid-19 pandemic saw the tournament delayed until November and with it, concessions have had to be made.
The pre-tournament curtain raiser has run since 1960 and famously no-one who has ever won the par-three has gone on to win the Masters that week.
It will be only the second time that the par-three tournament has been cancelled after heavy rains forced officials to abandon the 2017 edition.
"The fun and excitement of watching Masters competitors with their friends and family is what makes the Par 3 Contest such a special part of Masters week," Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley said.
"We know that experience could not have been replicated without guests and patrons at Augusta National, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to bring back this signature tradition."
Organisers have been forced into other concessions with players starting from the first and 10th holes during the first two days play, due to the shorter days in November.
However both Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player will continue as honorary starters and will hit tee shots on the first hole.
