American Keegan Bradley has a two stroke lead going into the weekend at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi.
He followed an opening 66 with a 65 on Friday, including four birdies in the last six holes, to jump six places and into the lead on 13-under par.
Compatriots JT Poston and Charley Hoffman are tied for second, with Hoffman's uneven round of 69 dropping him from top spot.
MJ Daffue, from South Africa, sits fourth after following his opening 65 with a 69, while Denny McCarthy and Kristoffer Ventura are a shot further back, and former Masters winner Sergio Garcia is tied for seventh on eight under.
Scotland's Martin Laird is in contention, after shooting a three-under 69 to be in a share of 12th place.
