American Adam Long carded a stellar eight-under 64 to overtake compatriot Hudson Swafford for the third-round lead at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship in the Dominican Republic.
Long was nearly flawless with the putter, one-putting nine of his final 10 holes - including three straight birdies.
Despite a consistent performance, birdies were sparse for Swafford as he was unable to come under par on the back nine.
He finished three-under for the round to sit two shots behind Long headed into the fourth and final day.
Meanwhile Canadian Mackenzie Hughes twice chipped in for birdie to round out the top three at 14-under.
