Dustin Johnson's stunning procession to the Northern Trust title was delayed due to more storms at TPC Boston, with the American an incredible nine shots clear with two holes to play.

Johnson had unleashed a powerful finish on Saturday to take a five-shot lead in to his final round and he did not let up.

An eagle and five birdies saw him streak clear of the field on 29-under thru 16, with compatriot Harris English his nearest challenger on 20-under.

Play was suspended before Johnson could play the last two holes but he's cruising to a truly emphatic success.

Rory McIlroy had earlier signed off with a 69 to finish on two-under for the tournament.
