Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow slipped down the leaderboard with a third round of 72 as New Zealand’s Lydia Ko took control at the Marathon LPGA Classic in Ohio.

Meadow opened her tournament with consecutive rounds of 69, but now sits in a share of 33rd on three under at Highland Meadows.

The lead is held by Lydia Ko, who turned a one-shot lead at the start of the day into a luxurious four-stroke buffer on the field by shooting a composed three-under 68 to reach 16 under.

Ko boasts superb form at the event, with the New Zealander triumphing in 2014 and 2016, finishing third in 2015, sharing seventh in 2013 and tying for 20th on her last visit in 2017.

Danielle Kang of the US carded a 70 and is in second spot.
