Cormac Sharvin failed to build significantly on his impressive start at the English Championship, however, the first round leader remains just outside the top ten heading into the weekend.
The Ardglass native posted an opening 63 at the Hertfordshire event, but had to settle for a one-under 70 in his second round.
Sharvin posted four birdies throughout his 18, however, some inconsistent golf saw him hand three shots back on the fourth, 15th and 17th holes.
The 27-year-old sits in a group of ten golfers in a tie for 12th place on nine under par, five shots off the half-way leader, Andy Sullivan.
Sharvin, however, will be the only Irish golfer to feature over the final two rounds as Paul Dunne and Jonathan Caldwell missed the cut, with both finishing on level par, five shots off the cut mark.
