Seamus Power secured an impressive top ten finish on the PGA Tour as he finished in a tie for ninth place at the Barracuda Championship on Sunday.
After finding himself in a position to challenge going into the final round, the Irish Olympian fell two places over the course of Sunday's play to finish seven points behind eventual winner Richy Werenski.
Power could only add seven points to his tally in the final round at the event played under the modified Stableford format, which awards eight points for an albatross, five for eagle, two for birdie, zero for par, and subtracts a point for bogey and three for double-bogeys or worse.
Power recorded two birdies and one bogey on the front nine to turn on three points for the round, and came home with three birdies and two bogeys to add four more points to end up on 32 points.
A birdie on the final hole secured the top ten finish, tied for ninth alongide fellow European Alex Noren and Argentina's Emiliano Grillo.

Power gained a valuable 40.83 points and jumped 22 placed in the FedEx Cup rankings into 161st place, while he picked up a sizeable check of $95,373 for his first top ten of the season.
The Waterford native remains just over 100 points off the top 125 on Tour, which will qualify for the season-ending play-off, which start later in August.

Werenski made three birdies and an eagle in his final seven holes to surge past Troy Merritt and claim his maiden PGA Tour victory.
The American began the day seven points behind third-round leader Merritt but tallied 13 in the final round to notch a winning score of 39 points .
Werenski, 28, eagled the par-four 16th hole to move to within a point of fellow American Merritt before sinking a long birdie putt on the final hole.
Merritt had a chance to seal the victory but his birdie putt came up just short and he finished on 38 points, having squandered a final-round lead at the Barracuda for the second consecutive year.
A birdie at the 72nd hole to take the lead.@WerenskiR scored 11 Stableford points in his last 7 holes.

"I feel like I've been playing well for the last couple months. But to get a win, that's huge," said Werenski, whose victory ensures a spot in next week's PGA Championship.
"I've got a couple seconds and everything, so this just helps my confidence a lot. Now I know I'm good enough."
Fabian Gomez and Matthias Schwab finished in a tie for third at 37 points.
