In July of this year, just weeks after the 10th anniversary of his groundbreaking win as an amateur in the 2009 Irish Open, Offaly's Shane Lowry joined golf’s most elite group of players when he won his first major, one of the sport’s four most prestigious tournaments.

His victory capped what was already destined to be an historic week as The Open Championship, golf’s oldest tournament, returned to the island of Ireland for the first time since 1951.

This special documentary from RTÉ Sport's Greg Allen and Damien O'Meara takes us back to that glorious summer weekend when Lowry rose to the top of the game and sparked huge celebrations across the country.

Featuring fresh reflections from Lowry himself and contributions from double Open winner Padraig Harrington, the events of a special time are captured here in 'The Clara Jug - Four Days In Portrush'.
