Stephanie Meadow is one shot off the lead after the second round of the Volunteers of America Classic at The Colony in Texas.
In order to keep her LPGA Tour card, Meadow needs to finish inside the top ten in Texas to avoid heading back to the Q-Series. After a brilliant opening round of 63, the 27-year-old had to scrap for a level-par 71 to lie at eight under.
One ahead of her are the US pair of Brittany Altomare and Cheyenne Knight and Alena Sharp from Canada.
Speaking afterwards to on the LPGA website, a bullish Meadow said: "I know I can win, I did it on Symetra and I did it in Ireland (ISPS Handa World Invitational) a couple weeks ago.
"I know I can handle myself. Yeah, this might be a bigger stage, but I know I can still do it. It's the same concept. So, I'm excited for the weekend. I can't wait to get started."
