Leona Maguire has advanced to the final stage of qualifying for the Ladies European Tour but there was disappointment for her twin, Lisa, in Morocco.

Leona (24) posted a fourth round of 67 for a total of 17-under-par, which secured second place, six shots behind Sweden's Linnea Strom.

Lisa looked on course to join her sister in next week's final Q-school event, on the same Amelkis Golf Club courses, but three bogeys in her final four holes saw her slip to a 73 and miss out on the +3 qualifying mark by two shots.

Former world amateur no 1 Leona already has a card for next season's Symetra Tour, the second tier US tour, but events on the LET are considerably more lucrative.

116 players will compete for 25 tour cards.
