Justin Harding joined Kurt Kitayama at the top of the leaderboard after an excellent third-round 64 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open on Saturday.

The South African started the day six shots off halfway leader Kitayama but reeled him in with eight birdies in his bogey-free round.

Kitayama had to settle for a round of 70, which still leaves him alongside Harding, three strokes clear of the chasing group of S Chikkarangappa, Matthieu Pavon and Masahiro Kawamura.

Frenchman Victor Perez had briefly joined Harding and Kitayama at the top of the leaderboard but a bad run of a double bogey followed by two bogeys dropped him back into the pack.

Gavin Moynihan dropped from fifth to seventh after a one-under-par 71 and is five shots off the leaders ahead of the final round.
