Leona Maguire finished a highly respectable tie for 18th in her maiden Ladies European Tour event, the Andalucia Open de Espana.
Maguire carded her best round of the weekend - a one-under 69 - to finish on one-over par. She had to play 25 holes on the final day after returning early in the morning to complete her third round, suspended due to darkness.
This was a fine pro debut on the European Tour for the Cavan woman whose stock continues to soar. She will now attempt to earn a European Tour card at the Tour School finals in Morocco in December.
Anne Van Dam won the title in Spain, finishing on 13-under, three clear of home favourite Azahara Munoz and seven ahead of Scotland's Catriona Matthew, the 2019 Solheim Cup captain.
Matthew faced the unlikely target of reducing Van Dam's seven-shot advantage but could only match her opponent's one-under round of 70 to finish six under.
Great week down in Spain at the @Openfemenino. 🇪🇸
