A bogey on the final hole of her second round leaves Leona Maguire at one over-par, seven strokes shy of leader Azahara Munoz at the halfway stage at the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open.
The Cavan woman's first day on the European Tour was cut short yesterday after just five holes due to heavy rain at the La Quinta golf and country club.
She returned early this morning with the prospect of 31 holes laid out in front of her. One-under par upon recommencing, Maguire picked up a shot with a birdie on 13.
However bogeys on 14 and 16 saw her slip back to level par.
Her second round followed a similar trajectory, with a strong outward nine - despite the fact that she started on different nines each time - giving way to a flatter inward nine. A bogey on the 9th, her final hole, gave the 23-year-old a 72 to leave her on one over par, well off the leaders but three shots inside the projected cut mark.

Spaniard Munoz, a former LGPA rookie of the year, leads the way on six-under par after two successive rounds of 68.
The 31-year old leads by a stroke from first round leader, the reigning British Open champion Georgia Hall, and the experienced Scot Catriona Matthew, another former British Open winner.
Germany's Olivia Cowan is a shot further back on four-under par.
