Paul Dunne and Padraig Harrington have made blistering starts to the Turkish Airlines Open. Dunne is on top of the leaderboard on seven under, after carding an opening round of 64.

The Greystones golfer avoided a single dropped stroke in his opening 18 in Antalya. Beginning on the back nine, he birdied four of his opening six holes and added another on the ninth for an outward 32.

The birdie rate dropped on his inward nine but he managed another couple on the 1st (his 10th) and the 7th (the 16th) to sit on his own at the head of the field.

Harrington is in a tie for second with Thorbjoern Olesen and Justin Rose, on six under. Lowry was also in action. He shot a three under round of 68 and is tied for 20th.

Lee Westwood and former USPGA Champion Martin Kaymer lie close to the summit at five under par. 2016 US Masters champion Danny Willett is a shot further back on four under par.
