And so the clock ticks down to the start of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Ballyliffin GC in County Donegal.
A prize fund of just under €6m is on offer and the field includes last year's winner John Rahm, tournament host Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington, Graeme McDowell, Rafa Cabrera Bello and Lee Westwood.
Also involved is Paul Dunne and RTÉ Sport's Greg Allen, who is in Ballyliffin, believes the Greystones player can figure at the head of affairs on Sunday afternoon.
"I think Dunne has what it takes to be right in the mix on the final day and that Ballyliffin is a challenge that will suit him," said Allen on 2fm's Game On.
"It's going to be a tactical challenge rather than a bombers' challenge and that will also play to Dunne's strengths.
"It's so important at Ballyliffin that you put the ball into the fairway and into the right place. It's a very big, strong golf course at 7,400 yards. Dunne doesn't like to make mistakes and he loves the greens here. It set up for him to have a good week."

Allen also singled out England's Matthew Southgate as another who could shine at the Open.
"He has been up here a couple of times prior to this week. He was 12th in the Open Championship two years so he knows how to play a links course."
Fellow golf analyst and Game On contributor Gary Murphy sees some monetary value in going for Southgate.
"He did well at the K-Club in 2016 and was third at Portstewart last year. At 80-1 he's a bit of value. Lee Westwood is also worth a sneak. He had an injury last week, but he's back to his old self and has a great record at the Irish Open, with six top-10 finishes."
As to which Irish player can figure prominently, Murphy had no hesitation in saying: "Shane Lowry is my pick of the home team."
