Cavan twins Leona and Lisa Maguire will make their professional debuts next week at the at the ShopRite LPGA Classic in New Jersey.
The sisters are recent Duke University graduates where they both enjoyed successful careers.
Leona is a two-time WGCA and ANNIKA National Player of the Year and also owns the record for the most consecutive weeks at the top of the Women’s Amateur Golf Ranking at 131. She is also a three-time ACC champion for Duke University.
Meanwhile, Lisa reached as high as 35th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and is a winner of the Great Britain and Ireland Women’s Order of Merit.
She won the 2011 European Ladies amateur and is a Spanish Ladies amateur champion, as well as being a two-time member of the European Junior Solheim Cup team.
