Spain's Jon Rahm leads the pack at the CareerBuilder Challenge in California after posting an impressive round of 62 on Thursday.

The 23-year-old carded 62 in his round on the LaQuinta course, with four birdied on the front and back nine and an eagle on the par-5 fifth.

Rahm's second shot came within five feet of the pin and he sunk the putt to go four-under.

Three Americans sit a shot behind Rahm - Austin Cook who took on the Nicklaus Tournament Course, and Jason Kokrak and Adrew Landry who played LaQuinta - while four Americans sit tied for fifth at eight under.
Defending champion Hudson Swafford is tied for 15th after carding a six-under round of 66, complete with four birdies and an eagle on the par-5 13th.

Seamus Power is in a tie for 88th after a round of 70 with six birdies and four bogeys for the Waterford man.
