The BMW Championship will have a Monday finish after torrential rain swept across Conway Farms Golf Club in Illinois on Sunday, forcing final-round play to be suspended.
Four players managed to complete their final round - Rory McIlroy among them - when the siren sounded to usher the field back into the clubhouse.
Play did resume but was soon suspended again.
Overnight leader Jim Furyk (-13) and second-placed Steve Stricker (-12) were among the players yet to start their final rounds
McIlroy fired a second successive three-under-par 68 to finish at seven-over 291, having languished last after 36 holes.
That marked the end of McIlroy's 2013 PGA Tour campaign as he failed to qualify for the elite 30-man field for next week's Tour Championship in Atlanta, the final play-off event.
