0954 When action on Friday came to a close it was German Marcel Siem who led the leaderboard in Killarney Golf and Fishing Club. Ten under par was the score that saw the German wrestle the lead of the event from first round clubhouse leader Jeev Milka Singh.
However, Singh still lurks close behind on nine under par, alongside Dane Soren Hansen. One shot further back is Spaniard Igancio Garrido.
There is plenty of Irish interest heading into the back 36 this weekend. Peter Lawrie, Damien McGrane and amateur Paul Cutler are the best of the Irish on six under par.
Major-winners Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell are two strokes further back on four under par.
